Exactly what is "BEEF MEAL" ?- what beef parts does it consist of in details please.

Beef meal is a popular ingredient in dog food. It is the dry rendered part from mammal tissues, specially prepared for feeding purposes by tanking under live steam or dry rendering. Though the meat has been cooked, dried, and ground, it is still meat, and has not had any blood, hair, hoof, horn, hide trimmings, manure, stomach or rumen contents added to it.
Is it a good idea to add water to their dog food

Water does not need to be added to this food but fresh water should always be available for your dog.

Not for my dogs
I chose this food because of the ingredients and the price, but my dogs just don't love it. My little dog has always been picky, so no judgment there. But my 80 lb, 1yo, doodle typically gobbles food (had to get a slow feeder bowl). She nibbles this food and then walks away. Sometimes with coaxing she will eat it all. I'm having to but a topper on it to get her to the bowl. So, I guess I'll go back to my former brand, or maybe this brand in a different flavor (I got the beef and rice). The smell is a bit icky too.

Reformulation? Suddenly our dog refused the Beef flavor
After a year of eagerly devouring this food, our one-year-old Brittany took a sudden dislike to the Beef flavor. She would lift each piece out of her bowl and place it on the floor, then she started placing the rejected pieces in the hallway ("How dumb are They?"). At first we thought there was something wrong with That bag, so Chewy replaced the bag, but our dog rejected the new bag, too. She has now embraced the Lamb flavor.

Its good for the value
This is a good food for the value and quality my dog wont eat it he's is a picky husky/mastiff so i get to play the find the right food game again anyway there's nothing wrong with the food that i noticed so i guess im just neutral sorry i couldn't be of more help.

My Pack Loves It!!
I have 3 tiny Chihuahua's & a "Gentle Giant" 210lb Great Dane. After some research I upgraded them all to this awesome and much healthier and higher quality food. They love it and I feel better because, thanks to Chewy I can afford it. Thanks Chewy!!

My dog loves it and I notice the change in hi'm
I have as GSD-Rottweiler-Malinois mix who is a rescue and always seemed to be hungry and on the lightweight side when eating cheaper big brand foods. I finally, from word of mouth, tried Diamonds Naturals and do not regret it. My dog loves it, acts full, and his coat and skin seem to be so much healthier now that he is on this food. He also seems to be happier. I must say however this food does seem to cause some gas in him… must be all those probiotics working hard haha!! Definitely recommend this brand and food.

My dog eats everything & the can but
I wanted to see if I could switch over my "Bear's" food. He was getting tired of our consistent purina lamb & rice that he's loved for so long. I figured I'd try something that ingredient wise looked healthier anyway. I want to be a huge fan of this food. My dog eats everything & the can quickly but for some reason will not touch this stuff. First couple of tries he would eat a bite or two and drink water until his bowl was empty. We've had the food for a week and a half now and nothing. He is not here for this food. Even with his favorite dehydrated food on top it's a no. Unfortunately the beef meal and rice has not been a hit, taste of the wild isn't a hit, purina is slowly coming to an over it stage. Ugh. Picky pitbulls I guess. Help!

Our Dog Love this!
We have a tiny 10# dog and a 65# dog. We bought the lamb small bites for our little dog and the big dog kept eating it, so we bought her the larger dog version of the lamb. She didn't love it, so I switched to this beef version. It's a different shaped kibble than the lamb version. This beef food is flat disc shaped which is really cool and our dog eats it enthusiastically!

My dog (Molla)
My dog molla, ABSOLUTELY loves this food. And, She seems happier for dinner too. She cannot wait to sink her k9's into the food. I myself have found the dogfood smells more natural compared the brands I was feeding her. You definitely have my support.

Elsie says not so much
I chose this product based on the comments about picky eaters liking it. My 10 yr old Irish Setter Elsie is still undecided. But I can tell you one thing she does prefer over the Purina One product. I still find myself having to worry about her eating, if i put some broth on it she gobbles it up. Maybe I have created a picky eater.... bad daddy BAD...
